Masthead

Who writes here

Thomas Deil

Co-founder & Contributing Editor

DJ and producer. Founder of the Temple of Sinners event series and the Underkntrl label; co-founder of Ōtocracy. A decade inside the European electronic circuit — booking, playing, releasing, and now running promotion campaigns for artists and labels. Everything he writes comes from the booth and the campaign dashboard, not from theory.

Profile & articles

Edgars Dolmatovs

Founder & Editor

Co-founder and CTO of Ōtocracy, and the engineer behind its platform and AI-driven analytics engine, the systems that separate genuine traction from inflated metrics across Spotify, YouTube, Meta and TikTok. A serial founder in music marketing since 2016: he built and ran his own promotion and publicity company for major-label and independent artists, then replaced the agency model with a self-serve platform used by artists and labels in 20 countries, and advises labels and management on release strategy and paid media, including a strategic partnership with Warner Music Group Asia. His articles are the numbers side of the operation: what a euro actually buys on each platform, which signals predict algorithmic pickup, and where campaigns quietly leak money.

Profile & articles

Daniel Voss

Contributing Writer

Daniel covers the label side of Ōtocracy's work: roster economics, release pipelines, and catalog promotion at scale. Methodical breakdowns of how labels allocate budget across artists — and what the delivery data says about which allocations pay.

Coverage

What we cover

Our readership is semi-professional to professional artists and label owners across Europe — principally the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and the UK. Coverage is practical and financial rather than lifestyle: campaign economics, platform mechanics, release strategy, scene reporting and industry events.

Independence & disclosure

ŌTOCRACY is published by Otocracy Group OÜ, which also operates music promotion services for artists and labels. We state this plainly because our readers make spending decisions on the strength of what we publish.

Coverage is not for sale. We do not accept payment for editorial placement, and we do not publish sponsored articles disguised as reporting. Where an article references our own services, it is marked as such in the body of the piece.

Figures we publish are sourced and dated. Where a number comes from our own campaign data, we say so and give the sample size.
